The event

About the event

A celebration of African identity, diversity and unity.

Through this evening, GEAAM honours traditional African attire as an expression of the history, identity, memory and values of the continent's peoples. Fabrics, colours, patterns and accessories speak of belonging, traditions and the celebrations that shape community life.

The African countries with diplomatic representation in Morocco will be present through their attire, alongside the Kingdom of Morocco, the host country. Benin is the country of honour for this edition. Speeches will be interpreted and the film subtitled so that the evening is accessible in French, English and Arabic.
